Race to the Finish: GiveBack DC 2012

We are in the final hours of GiveBack DC, and what a success it has been! The nonprofit reps are getting their admin logins and learning the specifics about their WordPress sites. What is so great about WordPress is how user-friendly it is for the non-profits. The training will only take a few hours and will cover everything from adding new pages and posts to creating users and forms.

All of the reps seem overwhelmed with excitement at their new sites. They brought the volunteers cake, cupcakes, shirts, and even bibs–that one was DC Diaper Bank’s doing. All sites will be launched tonight which will bring the total time of GiveBack DC to under 72 hours, thereby beating our goal.

Fun Fact: it took 320 fingers to build 3 websites in less than 72 hours!
